This depends a great deal on the individual patient and the type of skin. Any operation for aging will usually last several years but that does not mean that at that time you will suddenly grow old. But you will start to return to the more normal appearance for you at that age. In rare cases where the skin has no elasticity, patients may experience a very early return to their preoperative state. If this happens within a year your doctor may be able to do a second operation that may have more long lasting results.
