His/Hers, Mom/Daughter Surgery New Trend
Forget Botox. His-and-hers and mother-daughter treatments are latest trends in plastic surgery.
Well, don't forget Botox entirely. It's still the most common non-surgical cosmetic medical procedure. After laser hair removal, it's the second most common procedure of all.

$40 million Award In Botched Lipo Surgery by unlicensed doctors
The family of a 33-year-old man who died during a botched liposuction surgery has been awarded more than $40 million in damages from the clinic and doctors involved. Joel Cunningham died of a heart attack on the operating table in 1998 after unlicensed doctors performed a tumescent liposuction intended to remove fat from his abdomen. He had paid $3,500 for the procedure to LaFontaine Cosmetic Surgery and Skin Care Center in Manhattan. David Kownacki, a lawyer for Cunningham's family, called the clinic a ''fly-by-night outfit.''

Cosmetic Surgery Catching on with Men
What looks good on the goose looks good on the gander too, a new survey shows. Women's use of the injections fell 36 percent, according to the American Academy of Facial and Plastic Reconstructive Surgeons survey.Men's use of Botox injections to eliminate frown lines rose 88 percent, while women's Botox use fell 8 percent, it said. Handyman stole cheque to pay for breast implants
A handyman stole a cheque for £9,000 to pay for breast implants for his girlfriend - but she dumped him when she found out, a court has heard. Cardiff Crown Court was told Derek Bryant, 33, had promised to pay for the £3,400 operation for Leanne Howells, who had "something of an obsession" with cosmetic surgery. He stole the pre-signed cheque from Cardiff-based company International Academy and made it out to Miss Howells - telling her the money belonged to a friend who was going through a "messy" divorce and wanted to hide it from his wife.

Going that extra inch
Men are queuing up for penis extensions - to look good in the gym changing room rather than in the bedroom.

Shopping for youth: Botox hits the mall
Allergan takes its wrinkle-erasing treatment on tour. You may have missed it, but Saturday marked your watershed moment in Botox history. And it happened right here in Orange County, at The Shops at Mission Viejo, between your not-so-busy Bag and Baggage, your crowded Restoration Hardware and your positively teeming Cheesecake Factory.
Yes, Botox came - finally - to the mall to explain itself to every one of us who does not have a Park Avenue dermatologist, a Newport Beach plastic surgeon or a girlfriend who wears Manolo Blahniks to the soccer game and gives trendy parties before the orange slices are passed out during halftime.
It was, actually, the debut of Allergan's "Be True to You'' 24-city national tour. Allergan Inc., of Irvine, the lucky company that makes Botox Cosmetic, the toxin that stops wrinkles in their tracks and has been FDA approved since April 2002, must have figured that Mission Viejo was a swell place to test the "everybody-deserves-Botox'' concept.
