- What is PREVAGE™?
- PREVAGE™ antioxidant cream with idebenone is the most potent antioxidant available in a skin care product today.Antioxidants are substances that protect the cells in our body from damage caused by external environmental stresses. Examples of these stresses are UV light, air pollution, ozone, and cigarette smoke, to name a few.
- Does PREVAGE™ work better than other topical antioxidants?
- Yes. PREVAGE™antioxidant creamis scientifically proven to be more effective than other topical antioxidants in protectingyour skin against environmental stresses known to cause skin aging. These other antioxidants include kinetin (used in Kinerase ®), coenzyme Q10 (used in Q10 Plus Wrinkle Control products from NIVEA ®), lipoic acid (used in N.V. - How do I use PREVAGE™?
- Dosing instructions: Push the pump down once or twice to dispense a pea-size amount. Thoroughly massage PREVAGE TM antioxidant cream into your clean, dry face and neck 2 times daily, or as instructed by your physician.
Using in combination with other products: PREVAGE™ antioxidant cream is compatible with other products such as moisturizers, retinoids, or any other products you may be using. Be sure to apply PREVAGE™ directly after cleansing your skin and before any other products.
Even though PREVAGE™ antioxidant cream protects your skin against environmental stresses, it should not be used as a substitute for sunscreen. You should always use a sunscreen with a minimum of SPF 15 every day.
Will PREVAGE™ cause burning or stinging?
- No. In patient trials, PREVAGE™ did not cause burning or stinging
Will PREVAGE™ cause any other skin reactions?
- Whether or not they have sensitive skin, some patients experience breakouts any time they change their skin care regimen. If this happened to you, we recommend that, in order to reduce the possibility of a breakout occurring, you should use PREVAGE™ antioxidant cream once a day for the first two weeks and then begin using it twice a day.
