All surgery requires a scar and all scars take time to soften and fade. You will not see the final appearance of your scar for a year after surgery. It is usually red and raised for the first month or two after your operation. The scar for varies with the type of surgery.
If liposuction is done the scars are small, and usually one on each side. If direct open is used, the scar will vary and can be long or just around the nipple.
